Privacy Policy

BetterHobby ("we," "us") helps sports card collectors track their hobby spending, sales, and habits. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.

Information we collect

• Account details you provide: username, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Hobby data you enter: purchases (rips), card pulls, sales, budgets, streaks, wishlist items, and any photos or notes you add.
• Connected eBay data, only if you choose to connect your eBay account: your sold-order details (item titles, sale prices, fees, and dates) used to import sales into your account.

How we use your information

We use your data solely to provide the app's features to you — showing your dashboard, budgets, insights, tax exports, and imported sales. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers needed to run the app (such as our hosting and, where you enable it, the eBay and AI-coach APIs).

eBay integration

If you connect eBay, we access your sold-order and transaction information through eBay's APIs using access tokens you authorize. We store those tokens securely to import your sales and to keep the connection active, and you can disconnect at any time from the Sales page, which removes your stored tokens. We comply with eBay's Marketplace Account Deletion/Closure notification process: when eBay notifies us that a user has closed their account, we delete the associated data.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records at any time within the app, and you can request full account deletion by contacting us — we will remove your account and associated data.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and access to your data requires signing in. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
